10 lawyers recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada across 11 practice areas
The 2021 edition of Best Lawyers recognizes 10 lawyers from JSS Barristers for their work in 11 different practice areas. This is the highest number of lawyers JSS Barristers has had included in a Best Lawyers guide.
This year's edition includes:
- Lawyers of the Year (Calgary) award into Carsten Jensen QC, FCIArb, in class action litigation. This marks the second time he's won a Lawyer of the Year award from Best Lawyers. In 2019, he received the award in person injury litigation. Carsten is also recognized for the first time in alternative dispute resolution.
- First-time recognition for Andrew Wilson in corporate and commercial litigation, Stacy Petriuk in legal malpractice law and Kajal Ervin in class action litigation.
- In addition to receiving recognition for his work in alternative dispute resolution and energy law, Bryan C. Duguid QC, FCIArb, is also receiving first-time recognition for his work in construction law and corporate and commercial litigation.
- Glenn Solomon QC, FCIArb is acknowledged in privacy and data security law.
- Sabri M. Shawa QC, FCIArb and Gavin Price received first-time recognition in corporate and commercial litigation.
- Robert Hawkes QC and Christa Nicholson continue to receive acknowledgement for their work. Both have been included in the guide since 2013 and 2010, respectively.
