For the past three years, I have served as a bencher for the Law Society of Alberta. This year, with your vote, I hope to continue acting in service of my fellow lawyers and the LSA.

Born and raised in Calgary, I attended the University of Calgary for my LL.B. and then the University of Cambridge for my LL.M. Immediately following that, I joined JSS Barristers in 1997 as their very first associate. Since then, the firm has grown on to include over 30 lawyers and have had the privilege to serve as the firm's managing partner from 2015 to 2017.

I am also very active in the legal community. I am a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Women Lawyers, International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, Canadian Bar Association, Calgary Bar Association, the Advocates' Society and the American Bar Association.

I have presented at numerous seminars in Calgary and Edmonton on topics including e-trials, e-discovery, drafting pleadings and the Rules of Court.

After hours, I enjoy baking, cooking, growing my own vegetables, the arts, skiing, urban hiking, hanging out with my husband and keeping up my daughter and her recently-acquired driver's licence.
