Randell Trombley

Randy received his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta, graduating in 2017 with Distinction. While obtaining his law degree, Randy worked as a summer student in private practice and with the Municipal Government Board, and was active in the mooting program, competing successfully in the Alberta Court of Appeal Moot (Criminal) in 2016, and the Davies' Corporate/Securities Law Moot in 2017. He also volunteered with Student Legal Services, Civil Claims Duty Counsel, and the Pro Bono Students Canada Human Rights Project.

Randy joined JSS Barristers as an associate shortly after being called to the Alberta Bar in 2018. He completed his articles with a regional law firm in Edmonton, where he gained experience in insurance defence and municipal law.

Randy's preparatory education comprised a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Alberta. He took part in two exchange semesters; the first was to Oslo, Norway, where he realized an interest in law while studying the Geneva Conventions, and the second was to Washington, D.C., where he interned at the Embassy of Canada during the 2012 presidential election. After graduating in 2013, Randy worked for Alberta's Department of Energy as a Research and Technology Project Analyst.
