Sarah Bernamoff

Sarah Bernamoff is an Associate at JSS Barristers. Before joining JSS Barristers 2020, Sarah articled at a large national law firm in Toronto and focused on civil litigation.

She is involved in administrative, public and regulatory law; alternative dispute resolution; appeals; arbitration; corporate and commercial litigation; defamation and communications; professional negligence and discipline; securities and shareholder litigation; and trusts, wills and estates litigation.

Education

Sarah obtained her JD from the University of British Columbia in 2018. Prior to law school, Sarah obtained an MBA from the University of Calgary, where she focused on economics, business law and leadership. Additionally, she obtained a BA in International Relations and English Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

During her law studies, Sarah earned a variety of awards and scholarships, including the Peter Burns Trial Moot advocacy award, as well as the Dean's Public Interest Fellowship award, for her work with an international non-governmental organization.

Community

Sarah has spent time volunteering as a law school ambassador and in the Legal Education Outreach program.

Personal

Sarah is a classically trained pianist and also studied voice and performance at a Berklee College of Music affiliate program overseas. Aside from her law practice, Sarah enjoys playing music, dancing, traveling, hiking and spending time with her family.
