Sarah Bernamoff

Sarah obtained her JD from the University of British Columbia in 2018. Prior to law school, Sarah obtained an MBA from the University of Calgary, where she focused on economics, business law and leadership. She also obtained a BA in International Relations and English Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Sarah is a classically trained pianist and also studied voice and performance at a Berklee College of Music affiliate program overseas. When not practicing law, Sarah enjoys playing music, dancing, traveling, hiking and spending time with family.


Before joining JSS Barristers, Sarah articled at a large national law firm in Toronto and focused on civil litigation.

During her law studies, Sarah earned a number of awards and scholarships, including the Peter Burns Trial Moot advocacy award, as well as the Dean's Public Interest Fellowship award for her work with an international non-governmental organization. She also volunteered as a law school ambassador and in the Legal Education Outreach program.
