The Minister of Justice and Solicitor General recently announced it's list of 2022 Queen's Counsel appointees. We are proud to announce the firm chairperson, Andrew Wilson, and firm partner, Christa Nicholson, have been included in that list.
Andrew Wilson is currently serving as the firm chairperson, following his 2-year term as the firm's managing partner from 2020 to 2022. He joined JSS Barristers in 2014 after spending 4 years at the Alberta Securities Commission as enforcement counsel. Since joining the firm, his practice has focused primarily on complex commercial and securities disputes.
The Kings's Counsel designation ("KC" as a post-nominal) is an honorary title that is given to lawyers who have made significant contributions to the legal profession, to the community and to the administration of justice.
JSS Barristers now has 7 partners with a KC designation.
