Filippo Titi

Filip is an associate at JSS Barristers. His practice spans the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including corporate & commercial disputes, employment matters and professional negligence claims, as well as administrative and constitutional law.

Born and raised in Calgary, Filip graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) in Political Science, and from the University of Alberta with a Juris Doctor (with Distinction).

Experience

Filip joined JSS Barristers in 2021 after articling and practicing at a regional law firm in Calgary, Alberta, where he gained significant experience in civil litigation. Filip has successfully represented clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta, Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and Court of Appeal of Alberta. Filip takes a practical, cost-effective approach to his practice that focuses on his client’s needs and goals.

Prior to articling, Filip obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. During that time, Filip was heavily involved in the Canadian Lawyers Abroad Student Chapter (now LEVEL Justice), and Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights. Filip also interned as a Research Associate for the Ghana Center for Democratic Development in Accra, Ghana, and as a Researcher for the Centre for Constitutional Studies in Edmonton, Alberta. Since graduating, Filip has volunteered with access to justice initiatives to help people navigate the judicial system, and to bring awareness to alternative dispute resolution processes.
