Hitting the Links to Support Student Legal Assistance

Supporting legal aid programs like Student Legal Assistance is a proud tradition at JSS. Many of us began our journeys as attorneys at programs like Student Legal Assistance, who provide vital legal support for the less advantaged in our community. JSS Barristers has taken part in the SLA Charity Classic golf tournament for a number of years, and while we can't say that we are all-star golfers, it is an event we look forward to every year. (July 2017)

Planes to Africa

A hallmark of the JSS Barristers annual reception are the creative invitations that are sent out to attendees. Our invites for the 2016 reception consisted of an old-school, balsa wood, elastic band airplane. With the help of Colin Glassco at the Glassco Foundation, the leftover plans were sent to Gwembe Valley in Zambia, Africa, where the children have very little to nothing in the way of toys. The smiles on their faces say it all!
