Notice of the discontinuance of the Action shall be posted on counsel for the Plaintiff 's website at http://www.jssbarristers.ca/pages/class-actions/class-actions.cfm to notify proposed Class Members that the Action has been discontinued. That notice will state: "As a result of recent decisions issued Alberta Court of Appeal and leave having been denied by the Supreme Court of Canada on related cases, and after having consulted with the Representative Plaintiff, an application was made to the Alberta Court of King's Bench to approve the discontinuance of this lawsuit. The Court approved the discontinuance on September 17, 2024."

This Notice is for any all persons and businesses in Canada whose personal information was recorded and/or stored by DoorDash Inc. and/or DoorDash Technologies Canada Inc., including but not limited to Users and Drivers, as of May 4, 2018, and whose personal information was accessed by unauthorized individuals on or before May 4, 2018. As a result of recent decisions issued by the Alberta Court of Appeal and leave having been denied by the Supreme Court of Canada on related cases, and after having consulted with the Representative Plaintiff, an application was made to the Alberta Court of King’s Bench to approve the discontinuance of this lawsuit on a without costs basis. The Court will hear submissions and consider the discontinuance of this Action on September 17, 2024, commencing at 1:00pm MST.

On September 26, 2019, DoorDash advised users that their personal information was access by unauthorized third parties on May 4, 2019. It is reported that information compromised may have included users names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, last four digits of consumer payment cards, and the last four digits of bank account numbers. For DoorDash Drivers, driver licence information may also have been compromised.

DoorDash advised that all affected users in Canada received notification of the data breach. JSS is currently investigating a potential class action lawsuit in relation to this hack.
