Evan Jovanovic joined JSS Barristers as an Associate in 2025. Prior to joining JSS Barristers, Evan articled with and practiced at a mid-sized Alberta law firm. Evan maintains a general civil litigation practice and has successfully represented clients at all levels of Court in Alberta.
Education
Originally from the Whitehorse, Yukon, Evan attended the University of Calgary for both his undergraduate studies and for law school. Throughout law school, Evan acted as a volunteer case worker with Student Legal Assistance; providing legal information and representation for low income populations in criminal, civil, and family law matters.
Community
Evan volunteers with the Court of King’s Bench Amicus program and the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Program; providing self-represented individuals with free legal assistance and information.
Personal
Outside of the office, Evan enjoys attending live music events, hiking, and playing board games with his friends.
