Legal Summer Students
JSS Barristers is committed to providing a comfortable, enjoyable and rewarding learning environment for our 2L Summer Students. From their very first day, students will be given the opportunity to work on interesting litigation files that will allow them to apply their law school education to real practice scenarios.
Over the course of the summer term, the students will have the opportunity to participate in:
- Legal research;
- Document drafting;
- Attending Court, mediations and arbitrations;
- Attending Questionings;
- Attending client meetings;
- Professional development; and
- Participating in internal/external networking and continuing legal education activities.
At JSS Barristers, the lawyers and staff understand the important role that a good mentor and coach play in the development of young legal professionals. Our Summer Students will have day-to-day interactions with some of Calgary’s best litigators at a firm that was awarded a 5-star rating for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by HR Reporter.
