Former articling student, Joseph Heap, was admitted to the Alberta Bar and now practices as an Associate at JSS Barristers. In a departure from last year's remote ceremonies, Joseph was allowed to have a limited number of guests in attendance. That included his principal, Kajal Ervin; his wife, Kassandra; and his father, William.
Joe holds a B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Victoria and worked as an electrical and instrumentation field engineering in the Alberta oil sands prior to attending law school at the University of Calgary. He is also a registered professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
