We’re pleased to welcome Charlotte Kelso, Associate, to our team. Charlotte joined JSS Barristers in 2025 and has a broad civil litigation practice, with a particular interest in administrative law and regulatory matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2024 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia.
During law school, Charlotte was actively involved in student leadership and advocacy. She volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, served as a Law Ambassador for the Faculty of Law, and held the role of Vice President of Administration for the Society of Law Students from 2023 to 2024. In her final year, Charlotte competed in the Laskin Moot, focusing on administrative and constitutional law issues.
Originally from British Columbia, Charlotte also lived in England and California before moving to Calgary in 2019, which she now calls home. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Calgary’s food scene, hiking in the Rockies, running, strength training, and spending time with her friends and husband. She is also committed to community engagement and most recently volunteered with the Calgary Community Court program, supporting vulnerable populations in addressing bylaw tickets.
