We are excited to welcome Ava Danyluk to our JSS Barristers team as an Associate. Before joining us, Ava ran her own practice in Airdrie, Alberta, where she gained valuable experience representing clients in the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench, and in mediations and arbitrations.
Ava practices in most areas of civil litigation, with a particular focus on municipal, public, and regulatory law, wills and estates, oil and gas, and medical malpractice. Ava earned both her Juris Doctor and Master’s of Public Policy from University of Calgary, where she stood out as a top negotiator and award-winning student. Before law school, Ava studied Health Sciences and worked in Indigenous Health research.
Ava is also passionate about giving back, volunteering with Pro Bono Law Alberta to assist self-represented individuals in court. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Ava hiking in the Rockies or spending time with her chihuahuas.
