We’re pleased to welcome Bidemi Oluwalanami, Articling Student, to the JSS Barristers team.
Bidemi joined JSS Barristers in 2025, bringing international legal experience from one of Nigeria’s magic circle law firms. He completed his Master of Laws at the University of Calgary, where he was awarded the Honourable N.D. McDermid Graduate Scholarship in Law and nominated for the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships. He also holds a law degree from the University of Lagos, where he received the Dr. Taslim Elias Prize for Best Graduating Student in Land Law.
Prior to articling, Bidemi practiced for three years in Nigeria, advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, telecommunications, oil and gas, investments, employment, real estate, and tax matters.
Outside the office, Bidemi enjoys watching documentaries and cooking. A semi-professional vocalist, he loves to sing and shares his talent weekly at his local church.
