A New Addition to Dispute Resolution Class Action in Chambers Canada, Still Ranked Among Top Firms in General Commercial Litigation
JSS Barristers is the latest firm to be added to as a Band 3 Dispute Resolution: Class Action practice area by Chambers Canada.
With cybersecurity becoming increasingly important in society, privacy and date protection have become notable areas of growth for the class action team, highlighted by two separate class actions against CIBC/Simplii Financial and the Bank of Montreal in relation to a 2018 data breach that affected over 90,000 customers, some of whom had their financial information published on the Internet.
Carsten Jensen QC, FCIArb, the first lawyer at JSS Barristers to be ranked in Chambers for class actions, is added to the distinguished list of practitioners in the area in Band 4.
JSS Barristers continues to be ranked in Band 2 in general commercial litigation, remaining among the top boutique firms in Alberta in that practice area.
