Chambers: JSS Barristers is Band 1
The latest edition of the Chambers Canada Guide has listed JSS Barristers as a Band 1 firm in General Commercial Litigation in Alberta. This places JSS Barristers in the same band as some of the country's large, national, full-service law firms, and the only litigation boutique firm in that band. Those interviewed by Chambers noted that JSS Barristers "[is] an excellent specialist litigation boutique."
In addition to the firm's mainstays in the area: Carsten Jensen KC, FCIArb,; Glenn Solomon KC, FCIArb, ICD.D.; Bryan C. Duguid KC, FCIArb,; and Robert J. Hawkes KC; Erin J. Baker was noted as an Up and Comer as a driver of growth.
In other practice areas, Chambers also added a new Securities Litigation (Alberta) section in their 2023 guide. Of the four practitioners recognized as leading lawyers in that area, two are from JSS Barristers: Glenn Solomon KC, FCIArb, ICD.D., and Andrew Wilson KC.
