We are proud to share that Mike Albert has joined the JSS Barristers team as an Associate, having previously practiced as a corporate commercial litigator at a large national law firm.
Mike currently maintains a broad civil litigation practice and supports clients with all stages of the dispute resolution trajectory. He has experience working on a range of business-critical disputes, including those related to commercial agreements, joint ventures and other commercial arrangements, energy (oil & gas), commercial leasing, and professional liability. Mike has acted on matters before all levels of court in Alberta and has participated in a number of large arbitrations. Prior to joining JSS Barristers, Mike also completed a secondment with a large Canadian energy company, where he gained a valuable understanding of the legal and operational priorities from the client side, a perspective he now brings to his practice.
Mike holds a BA (Honours) in political science and a juris doctorate from the University of Saskatchewan. He's active in community volunteering and enjoys skiing, golfing, cycling, scuba diving, and spending time with family and friends at the lake.
