Benchers are a 24-member board that governs the Law Society of Alberta ("LSA"), 20 of whom are elected by other lawyers. They serve a three year-term and are responsible for the governance of the LSA and adjudication of the profession as regulators that are committed to helping lawyers achieve the highest levels of professional and ethical standards.

The Law Society of Alberta will be holding bencher elections between November 2 and November 16, 2020. Stacy Petriuk QC, will be seeking re-election for the position. Click here to see more about Stacy's past involvement.
