Ava Danyluk joined JSS Barristers in 2025, having previously run her own practice in Airdrie Alberta. Ava has represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. Ava has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations.
Ava practices in most areas of civil litigation, with a special interest in municipal, public and regulatory law, wills and estates, oil and gas, and medical malpractice.
Education
Ava attended the University of Calgary where she completed her Juris Doctor and Master’s of Public Policy at the same time. In law school Ava was the recipient of the Grant Mckibben Prize, the Frances Elizabeth Turner Memorial Award, and was nominated as a Top Negotiator in a Canada wide Negotiation Competition. Before entering law school Ava studied Health Sciences and worked as a medical researcher in the field of Indigenous Health.

In her spare time, Ava enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains and spending time with her chihuahuas.
