Filippo Titi

Filippo Titi is an Associate at JSS Barristers. His practice spans the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including corporate & commercial disputes, employment matters & professional negligence claims, as well as administrative & constitutional law.

Civil Litigation Career

Filippo joined JSS Barristers in 2021 after articling and practicing at a regional law firm in Calgary, Alberta, where he gained significant experience in civil litigation. Filippo has successfully represented clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta, Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and Court of Appeal of Alberta. Since joining JSS Barristers, Filippo has acted for clients in domestic and international commercial arbitrations. Filippo takes a practical, cost-effective approach to his practice that focuses on his client’s needs and goals. He provides his clients with thoughtful analysis of their cases to achieve the most optimal outcome.

Education

Born and raised in Calgary, Filippo graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction in political science, and from the University of Alberta with a Juris Doctor, with distinction. While in law school, Filippo worked for the Centre for Constitutional Studies, writing articles on constitutional law topics to educate the general public about their constitutional rights. Filippo also interned as a Research Associate for the Ghana Center for Democratic Development in Accra, Ghana in 2014. In addition to his academic endeavours, Filippo was involved in the Faculty of Law’s Law Show production, co-leading the singing group.

Community

Filippo is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association. He is currently the Co-Chair of the CBA Alberta Alternative Dispute Resolution South Section, and the Chair of the CBA National Constitutional and Human Rights Law Section. Filippo is also an active volunteer with Pro Bono Law Alberta.
