CANJURA v NEUFELD, 2022 ABKB 628
9.4: Signing judgments and orders
10.49: Penalty for contravening rules
The Court noted that the Plaintiff was a problematic litigant with numerous proceedings in the Court of King’s Bench and Federal Court. The Plaintiff further had a history of improper email communications with the Court of King’s Bench. As a result, Associate Chief Justice Rooke ordered that the Plaintiff be prohibited from communicating with the Court of King’s Bench by email. Should the Plaintiff fail to comply with the Order, Rooke A.C.J. cautioned that the Plaintiff could be subject to Costs penalties pursuant to Rule 10.49(1).
The requirement for the Plaintiff’s approval of the Oder giving effect to the Decision was waived pursuant to Rule 9.4(2)(c).View CanLII Details
